Rose Macaulay

Dame Emilie Rose Macaulay, DBE was an English author who was born on August 1, 1881, and died on October 30, 1958. She was best known for her award-winning book The Towers of Trebizond, which is about a small group of Anglo-Catholics who cross Turkey by camel.
