Robert Kerr
Robert Kerr (1755-1813), grandson of the First Marquis of Lothian, was an independent scholar and a Fellow of the Royal Society. His literary efforts included translations of the works of Lavoisier, Berthollet and Linnaeus as well as a translation of Cuvier's Essay on the Theory of the Earth .
