Dr. Patel is the recipient of the 2004 Biotechnology Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Oil Chemists' Society, the 2008 Biocat Industrial Research Award from the International Congress on Biocatalysis, and the 2012 Distinction of Academic Award from the International Society of World Academy of Biocatalysis and Agricultural Biotechnology.
