Brian Dowd is a writer, an artist, a husband, and a father among many other descriptors. Brian grew up in the midwest and spent a little time in other parts of the country collecting stories and experiences. Brian has worked as a high school teacher and a salesman; he has worked in restaurants and in corn fields. He spent several years writing technically and controlling documents in a manufacturing environment. Brian likes to make connections between his various experiences and the characters therein and seeks the underlying causes for things that happen to himself and others. Sometimes he likes to do things the hard way - the family has taken to calling that "the fun way." Brian enjoys sports and outdoor activities as well as drinking coffee and reading books.
