Acie cargill is a Pulitzer nominated author. He studied poetry with American Poet Laureate Mark Strand and Illinois Poet Laureate Gwendolyn Brooks. He is a former physician, a vegetarian and an animal rights activist, especially wildlife. He has been active in environmental causes aimed at making the earth a better place for the future. He is also a songwriter and performer and has over 500 songs for sale on the internet. Some years back he was nominated for a Grammy award for traditional folk music.
