A delightful, fast paced thriller, based in yesterday's automobiles and locations. Some of the auto chases stretch the imagination a bit, (the 300C would come close to 160 MPH, the '57 Chevy didn't have the displacement to handle wind resistance over about 135-140, even ported, polished, and balanced.) but close enough to be almost believable. The romance should have been carried to it's ultimate conclusion for that era, but that is a very minor point. Left me wanting more of his writing., and I have read almost everything he has done except his newest. All in all, a great read.
