I read True Love in less than 2 hours but do not be fooled by that. This book is short and simple yet deep and deceptively profound. The principles and suggested practices of it serve as a reliable guide for fostering an open heart and enlightened mind. This is not a gimmicky trite work like many "find your true love" books. This is a solid, deep, yet astonishingly simple book that can be used over a lifetime and worn out. I think its brilliance is in the process Thich Nhat Hahn leads the reader through which is not magical but deeply rooted in ageless truth and the fact that work is involved: consistent, daily practice. One could easily read it and pass it along but this is a mistake. This is a deceptively profound, simple, short book which is about a lifetime daily practice. A reader may find the nature of true love for the first time, or live into the day it appears, or realize that it has been inside all along, or who knows, perhaps a true love will appear at some point because this book is a guide for fostering an inner garden for true love to appear and grow. I highly recommend it but beware, do not read it and put it down, practice it and live its principles and practicum.
