This book outlines the syntheses necessary to create almost every tryptamine known to man. Shulgin just happens to be the man who originally found nearly all of them! It is an absolute must for anyone interested in the chemical synthesis of psychedelic tryptamines. Half of the book is partially autobiographical, partially storytelling (wonderful read). The other half contains the syntheses along with trip reports involving each of the listed chemicals performed by Shulgin himself.
Look for PiHKAL: A Chemical Love Story, it's basically the same thing as this book, except it outlines the synthesis of phenethylamines, instead.
