This book is like a scientific Magical Mystery tour, allowing readers to Experience, what very few people will ever get to experience in our lifetime. Thanks Alexander, maybe someday, the "Thought Police" will be no more. So much good could come of the free exchange of ideas, and the safe and proper use of one of God's true miracles, which A. Shulgin has catalogued so eloquently.
Thanks.

Mmm, Phenethylamines
This book is the bible for the laboratory synthesis of phenethylamines. Shulgin is responsible for most of these chemicals even existing, therefore it's fairly easy to see that he's the foremost authority on the subject. Half of the book deals with chemical synthesis and bioassays, the other half is a semi-autobiographical story written through the alternating perspectives of Sasha and Ann. A wonderful book.
