Whether you buy this as an audio book or in book form, share it out loud. The near-poetry sings. We were read this so many times as children we could recite it by heart. I am now purchasing it in both forms for my grandchildren. My sister and I recently read it aloud on a long car trip--from the original family first edition she had unearthed. It never gets old and one never gets too old for it.

Charming
Aside from being one of my favorite books of all time, The 13 Clocks is a family tradition for me. The story is completely delightful. It is uplifting without being sappy with that Thurber humor and a bit of magic. The artwork by Marc Simont is beautiful and perfect for the tone of the story. A house is not a home without The 13 Clocks. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
