Very Good. Book Octavo, hardcover, VG in green boards with gilt lettering on spine. No dj. Name on endpaper else clean and unmarked. 298 pp. including index. Contains preface to 14th edition, 1888 and foreword to this edition 1983. Leonard, a gynecologist from Michigan saw the need for a more compact ready-reference work, based on Gray's original but condensed and more concise, with the work of other medical authors consulted and incorporated, and section of his own added to help student and practitioner alike-in effect, a "dissecting-room companion" as he himself called it.
