The Tragedy of Compromise is the first Ernest Pickering book I've read . It brings a believer back to the Bible. It is easy to understand. He stays with a subject until complete before moving on to something else. The Bible is the Word of God, written to believers. Too many of us have become complacent towards His commandments. He loves us so much. Scripture was written to be examples for us to follow in our lives, the faith as it was first delivered to man. Faith is trusting God to never make a mistake and His Word will never fail, nor will it ever change. It is 'forever written in heaven'. This faith has been twisted to fit man's purpose. We have become complacent about most of God's commandments. We have become numb and caloused to what has been happening in the churches of today. God calls us 'peculiar people'. Just listen to what they call music; hymns of praise and worship should be directed to our Heavenly Father and not for the entertaining of the saints! Look at how people dress for church (I don't even have to comment.) What has happened is that the church is allowing wolves to come in among them and bring with them some great theory that compromises the true Word of God. Follow along as Dr. Pickering brings the Bible to light regarding today's issues. I promise you will not be able to put it down.
