Ruthless Guns
The copy I am writing this review from is a mass market paperback edition published by Lancer, an Easy Eye, in the 1970's. When you have had enough, what else can you do but fight back? That was where Dave Wall found himself. He had allowed Luke Lilavelt to blackmail him for four years in order to protect his brother-in-law. He had even unwillingly worked for a ruthless cattle baron as ramrod earning for himself a hard reputation known state wide. But when Lilavelt told Dave to break Bart Sutton, Dave had had enough. Dave would dirty his hands no further, because he knew Sutton was an honest, decent sort of man only trying to make a living for himself and his daughter. And you can imagine the rest of that relationship, I hope, in this "traditional" western. L P Holmes writes some of the best westerns ever written. It's good to see some of them making a return.
Also published as Dusty Wagons.
