The Personal Heresy by C. S. Lewis. The Personal Heresy is a collection of six long essays by C. S. Lewis and E. M. W. Tillyard. Both the authors have contributed three essays each to support their views concerning impact of the author's personality and that of the environment on the creative writing. Tillyard is supporting the viewpoint that author's personality has major impact on his/her imaginative writing. However, Lewis is supporting the viewpoint of outer elements other than author's own personality affecting/impacting his/her creative writing. Poet, novelist, academic, literary critic, and perhaps most - a little-known as an author, but most - highly appreciated by readers, CS Lewis is a man whose work "The personal heresy" leads us to the question whether poetry is its external reflection although he rejected the assertion by stating that poetry is a representation of a person. These five essays included in the book we indicate a different way of thinking of the author, which allows us to reflect on the meaning of Scripture for personal heresy that exists in each of us. His claim that personal heresy comes from the inability of people to make a difference between the material and the spiritual, may be justified, as the poet reasoned that if God is behind the universe, and transmit his words through his poetry that reaches people. If there is no God, no muse, and then as trying to write something qualitatively poet fails to do so. This book, these essays caused a lot of criticism and disagreement on the subject of personal heresy, but the author is convinced that it will be understood, because trying to maintain objectivity in his work, emphasizing the most - now the reading without drawing attention to themselves, because it is convinced that poetry is primarily to express the personality of the poet. The personal heresy shows that Lewis is personal heresy good literary practice. Reading the essays us to the main objective of the author, namely - to show us that the words "poem" and "poet" does not refer only to poetics as a whole, and - soon to every artist and author, regardless of genre, which has dedicated his work! Briefly - The personal heresy is a poem to be read because of personal heresy that lies in each of us!
