C S Lewis's philosophical defence of Natural Law (absolute morality) - without which human beings are reduced to less than fully human, and are, thus 'abolished'. CS Lewis argues that objective value actually exists and that to believe otherwise is to create nonsense. If you like to read different philosophies but they leave you unsatisfied and with more unanswered questions, run to this book. It will start you on the right path and your brain will say, "Hmm, that makes sense."
Abstract and personal meanderings by most philosophers are mostly a reflection of their own experience or an attempt to sound profound. Lewis cuts through that and leads the reader to confront universal realities. Very refreshing.
