Eight-time leading sire Bold Ruler is discussed as part of the prolific Phalaris line while early 20th century stand-outs such as Black Toney, Broomstick and Blue Larkspur receive their due. Also looked at are stallions that made an impact on Thoroughbred breeding in England and France, including the brilliant Hyperion and Tourbillion.
