Nothing to Fear is perfect for anyone dealing with any potentially terminal illness or disease. Larry Burkett discusses not only the spiritual and emotional aspect of his cancer journey, but also the medical arena. He battled renal cell cancer with both conventional and unconventional treatments, both of which he discusses in his book. His particular type of cancer normally is a quick death sentence...I think statistics are something like 90% die within two years. What you won't learn from the book is that when Larry died -- 8 years after his diagnosis -- he died of heart disease and had "no cancer cells in his body." This is a testimony to the Lord's working in his life as he sought His wisdom in finding and choosing medical treatment. Though this book delves into the spiritual realm, it does not come across as "preachy" at all. It would be an encouragement to any reader, and the medical information in it would be helpful to get anyone started on their own search for their own treatments.
