En Venezuela no se conoce el patr???n de mutaciones en estos genes, por lo que el objetivo de este trabajo fue detectar mutaciones en los genes BRCA en pacientes con CM hereditario, con el fin de establecer un perfil gen???tico en la poblaci???n afectada. Los resultados obtenidos en este estudio sientan un precedente en el diagn???stico molecular de mutaciones en los genes BRCA en pacientes con CM hereditario en Venezuela, lo cual es de gran relevancia a la hora de identificar la poblaci???n en riesgo y as??? aumentar la vigilancia y la adecuada aplicaci???n de medidas profil???cticas que permitan evitar el desarrollo de la patolog???a.
