Dave Van Ronk was one of the key figures in the Greenwich Village folk music community in the '60s, but he was an artist who refused to be tied down by generic boundaries. Van Ronk was one of the best blues singers to emerge from the folk movement (heavily influenced by his mentor and friend the Rev.
