everyone should get the opportunity to read this book, jew or not, because of the inspiring message and faith renewing story it brings. it reminds us how our human frailties are never an excuse to doing good and to aspire for greatness according to God's plan.

Hadassah: One night with the King
I read this book while doing an Esther Bible Study. It made the study so real--using the Bible, my workbook and reading this book. I am one who likes to imagine what went on outside the box. The authors do a great job with this. I hve also seen the movie. The book is much better.

Excellent!
Excellent book. It is encouraging and refreshing. Highly recommended for Christians and non-Christians alike. Very good as a gift for someone who is intimidated by reading the bible.

Pleasantly surprised
I was prepared to be offended by another fictional characterization of what I consider to be a true story. Too often such fiction tries to enhance the excitement of the story by changing it. While the authors "filled in the blanks" and answered questions readers of Esther often ask, they were true both to the spirit and the facts of the original story. -- which to me was the story of a young woman who sought to serve her God and her people and also a story of God's poetic justice. Our book club enjoyed it very much.
