Years into recovery, I still take time to thumb through this book. I am also intending on giving it as a gift to fellow eating disorder survivors.

Possibly effective for some, but not for me
This collection of daily readings contains many thought-provoking ideas and suggestions on ways to improve your relationships with food, your body, and people. Although the book provides many helpful ideas on how to improve your relationship with food by gradually modifying your attitude on all life?s situations, it also has a slightly overbearing religious tone and makes numerous generalizations about the character of people who suffer from eating disorders that are not necessarily true. I found many of the readings inspirational, but the author?s unfounded opinion on the behavior of bulimics caused the book to be a less-than-useful tool for me.
