Lenard, an elderly recluse who lives on the mountain, finds Anna caught in the iron jaws of one of his traps. He carries the broken girl to his cabin where she regains consciousness and tells him her story. Faced with all bad options, the duo proceed back into the Mountain in an effort to save Gillian and their friends. The Mountain is not having it.
