This story made my Day...
As a classic movie fan I've really enjoyed the references and nods to the Golden Age of Hollywood in Janice Thompson's recent books. But I must confess that Every Girl Gets Confused is just a little extra special. Every chapter title and the quotes that headed each chapter, plus the direct mentions of one of my all-time favorite actresses, Doris Day, were perfectly wonderful. Not to say that the story itself wasn't wonderful, because it truly was. Janice Thompson has such a way with romantic comedy, each story leaves you laughing and find that she has slipped something in there and you have learned something valuable about life and love.
Every Girl Gets Confused brings back the entire zany band of family and friends from the Cosmopolitan bridal shop and Fairfield, Texas. Romance abounds for all age groups in this tale from Katie and her brothers all the way to Queenie and the Reverend Bradford, err Pap-Paul, and a surprise just might be in store for a long-time single lady. These characters quickly became like friends in the first book and it was wonderful to drop back into their lives and find out what they were all up to. I, for one, CANNOT wait until the next book in this series comes out next year.
Janice Thompson delivers more of her signature crazy Texas fun in this very enjoyable book. From the striking cover to the last page you won't want to put it down. Every Girl Gets Confused is a MUST read this fall, or anytime really.
(I received a copy of this book from Revell in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.)
