None. Good. Two Volumes of Essays by theologian J B Mozley. With writings of notable religious figures, principles and sermons. J B Mozley was an English theologian. He was a fellow of Magdalen college and played an important part in the Oxford movement. He was one of the earliest supporters of the anglican newspaper The Guardian. Later in life he became a professor of divinity at Oxford. He wrote several works on religious controversies and doctrines. His Historical and Theological essays were his final works, published the year of his death. In full calf prize bindings. Externally, generally smart. Rubbing to boards and joints. Small cracks to rear joint of volume II and both joints of volume I. Front hinge of volume I is starting but firm. Both hinges of volume II are starting but firm. Prize ink inscription to recto of front blanks. Binder's stamp to verso of front endpapers indicates J. B Hawes binding. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with the odd spot to first few and last few pages. Good.
