Loved it! What a wonderful collection of twenty essays/short stories and ten recipes. And the introduction (by the editor) is one of the most amazing introductions to a collected volume I remember reading of late: Not only did the editor introduce the collection and some of the pieces that follow but also did he tell a story of his own?and he told it quite well. 'Home,' by Andre Dubus III, made me cry when I read it by candlelight on a night the power had gone out . And here?s a quotation from Ann Packer?s 'My Life in Food': 'The story of how one eats is the story of how one lives' (p. 150)?so true!
