How many illnesses could be diagnosed that are actually from vitamin B-12 deficiency? According to these authors, those health problems are legion. Some unfortunate patients are misdiagnosed with illnesses as diverse as multiple sclerosis and cervical dysplasia but are actually B-12 deficient instead. Some telltale signs of the deficiency are: tinnitus numb/tingling/weak limbs, dizziness, tremors, impotence, incontinence, etc. Who is at particular risk of B-12 deficiency? The elderly, those with impaired digestion at any point, vegans, those who have had laughing gas, and patients with a whole slew of illnesses, including cancer, AIDS, GERD, diabetes, to name but a few.
