Very entertaining tv film made before Hopkins did Silence of the Lambs. He is excellent as Guy Burgess, 'notorious' spy, and the costumes, hair styles, the London of the 50's ... great to view on a slow afternoon. The other actors are all good, particularly Michael Williams as Gononwy Rees, a conflicted character who hates keeping secrets from his wife but who has a history of espionage.
