One of the best books on codes and WWII. It a for everyone..not just men, as some would think. I have bought several copies over the years and lent it out and it has gone on it's way... When you are finished with it you will have had a few laughs and you will wonder how England or any big military/government managed to win a war. It is the "Peter Principle" in action.

One of the best books on UK s WW2 spies
This is one of the best books on the UK's undercover operations during WW2. Written by Leo Marks, who was the chief codemaker for the SOE agents sent undercover to Europe. Fascinating and well-written. If you find a copy, get it.

This book is full of information about codes, spies, wartime, and so much more. That is the problem. It is a very long book One becomes overwhelmed with so many pages to read. While I am glad to have had the exposure to the book, I must say reading it to the end was exhausting.
