Very Good. First edition, with "Lathop" on the spine. Small quarto. 65pp. With text selected by Helen Dean Fish from the King James Bible. Illustrated in black and white. Head of spine worn, hinges tender but holding, endpapers with a bit of offsetting, upper corner of textblock with light impressions from a paperclip, still very good. Winner of the first Caldecott Medal for Illustration. The first state binding is uncommon.
