Near Fine with no dust jacket. Facsimile reproduction-a Limited Edition of 500. String-tied wraps. There is a tiny scuff on the front cover, and just a hint of age-toning to the covers. With the booklet, there is a letter describing the edition (the letter signed in print by Walter E. Scott-Project Leader for the BCW). The letter states as hand-sewn by Elizabeth and Jay Benforado at the Night Heron Press in Madison. Also laid-in (as published) is a photograph of the Wisconsin State Historical Society's copy of the original edition. The original was considered to be Wisconsin's first scientific imprint, and the first "west of the Great Lakes and north of St. Louis".; 25B; 6 x 3-3/4"; 12 pages.
