This book is just as it says it is; it is a summary of Christian history. It gives a good overview from the first century church to the twentieth century. As much as can be done, it flows from event and time period very well. With all the events take place during a particular time period, along with the those people involved, it is expected that there would be some bouncing back and forth from one time period to another. Of all that I have read on this subject, Baker has done a good general review of this history. It is easy to read and follow.
