Me starting this book: this elf king is dark and a jerk but obviously our girl is going to change him for the better.
Me ending this book: this elf king is an adorable little idiot, he must be protected at all costs, Luella wears all of the pants in this relationship.
Anybody else? This cover gave me Hades and Persephone vibes, but the actual book made the king (I just finished the book and I can't remember his name, this is what Covid shot #2 does to your brain) this adorable dork who is willing to do whatever Luella needs. True, I would have appreciated a more in depth look at the characters and what created them, but it was a cozy happy read!
