Seller's Description:
Bob Ueckerm. Run time: 350 mins. Originally released: 2007. 2 discs. Language: English. Factory Sealed Brand New The 1982 Milwaukee Brewers did something few teams in the history of Major League Baseball have ever accomplished. Thanks to a fun and ferocious offensive attack that pounded the ball unlike any other team of its era, the Brewers earned the love of both their city and the entire nation. Fresh off their first playoff appearance in 1981, this band of blue collar warriors struggled at the start of the year, resulting in batting coach Harvey Kuenn taking over the reins as manager. The Brewers responded by finishing with a 95-67 record-the best in baseball-and capturing the division title behind Don Sutton on the final day of the season. Robin Yount was the league MVP-Pete Vuckovich was the Cy Young Award winner-and the Brewers became the first team in history to really from a two games to non deficit in the ALCS to win the pennant. They took the St. Louis Cardinals to the climatic seventh game in the "Suds" World Series-and although they finisihed just short, the fams of Milwaukee still turned out by the thousands for a special ticker tape parade to celebrate this one in a million team.
