Near Fine. 5" X 8", 165 pages. Larry Nelson enlisted in the Army Air Corps the summer of 1942. He was called to active duty in January, 1943. Larry became an aviation cadet and completed the Army Air Corps navigator training program. After he was assigned to the newly created B-29 program, he few to Saipan in October, 1944. Hell for Honshu tells the story of Larry's crew as they few thirty five combat missions from Saipan to Japan. He doesn't spare the dangers and tragedies of the war, but also reveals some lighter, and even fun, moments. One small crease on front cover.
