To write about herself, Keaton realized she had to write about her mother, too, and how their bond came to define both their lives. And so, in a remarkable act of creation, she not only reveals herself to readers, she also lets them meet in intimate detail her mother. More than just the autobiography of a legendary actress, this a book about a very American family with very American dreams.

Fine. in Very good. jacket. Signed by Diane Keaton on a laid in signature page at the front. First edition, first printing. Interior is otherwise clean. Black boards are clean and firmly bound. Matte dust jacket remains in very good condition, unclipped, with minor surface rubbing and a "signed copy" sticker on the front panel.
I was looking forward to reading this because I have always loved Diane Keaton as an actress and from what I knew about her, a sane and thoughtful human being. Her life story, however, is just not that interesting, at least what was written about in this book. The book is really a love letter to her mother and family. I still admire her but the family story is ho hum.
