Gray/white marbled paper-covered boards with a black cloth spine (four raised bands) titled in gilt. Front cover has a colour illustration of a shipboard Holmes holding a harpoon. Clean text; 304 pages. Colour frontis illustration and eleven others [also numerous in black and white] within are by Frederick Dorr Steele. Some very light toning to the edges of the pages; elso a Fine copy. An attractive edition; in an archival plastic protector.
