Cherry Hood. Fine. Signed by Author First edition, first printing, signed by the "reclusive author" on the title page. A fine clean tight unread copy. PLEASE NOTE: This was signed at what was billed as JT Leroy's first public appearance/reading at Booksoup bookstore in West Hollywood in 2004. Recently in the NY Times and elsewhere, this public persona of JT Leroy has been identified as a young woman Savannah Knoop is the younger half-sister of Geoffrey Knoop who is the live in partner of Laura Albert who is now thought be the writer. Incidently Albert was at the event and I thought she was a 'handler' or agent of Leroy as she was hovering around his/her signing table all night. This book was thus signed by Savannah Knoop as JT Leroy and sold as such. A fascinating story, the hoax, but a great book as well, whoever wrote it.
