Dust jacket design shows 'then and now' photographs of the author. /Mary Weir (1910&endash; 2004) known as Molly Weir, was a Scottish actress best known as the character Hazel the McWitch in the BBC TV series Rentaghost. / From the library of Victor Ross (1919-2021) an Austrian Jewish refugee from Nazi occupation who became Chairman of Reader's Digest, Europe. He conceived and led the 'Thank You Britain' fund in the 1960s, raising £96, 000 (well over £1 million in today's terms) within the Jewish refugee community from central Europe, for a scholarship fund and series of annual lectures at the British Academy.
