Prof. Zhenpo Wang is currently a full professor of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Beijing Institute of Technology and serves as the Director of National Engineering Research Center of Electric Vehicle(s). He has long been engaged in theoretical research on new energy vehicles and in tackling key engineering challenges. Centering on the safe, efficient and reliable application of new energy vehicles, he has made an outstanding contribution in operation control, charging prevention, distributed driving and collaborative control and other aspects. These achievements help address the difficulties of "no accident pre-warning, no management and control on charging and no synergy between chassis multi-domain controlled by wire". He has headed 16 government-sponsored research such as key projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and National Key Research & Development Program of China. He has published 74 SCI papers and 123 EI papers in the past five years and authorized 11 patented inventions. He has received many awards like one first prize of Automobile Industrial Science and Technology Awards of China, three first prizes scientific research awards at provincial and ministerial levels and a second prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award. This book is about the design and control of biomimetic underwater robots. The authors have carried out scientific research work in biomimetic underwater robots for more than 15 years. This book is the authors' long-term exploration of the theoretical and technical issues of the development of the biomimetic underwater vehicle-manipulator system, and is written based on years of scientific research and practical experience. This book targets the universities and institutes' researchers, engineers, master students, and Ph.D. students. This book will present the latest progress of the biomimetic underwater vehicle-manipulator system. See less
