He was a surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for fourteen years and evaluated more than one-hundred organizations across the nation. He has a special interest in assessment of work adjustment that led to his books Understanding Work Adjustment and Needs and Employment. His continued research has led to the development and use of the Work Orientation Information Survey (WOI) that is a very unique interview guide for assessing and predicting a person's adjustment to work.
