WILLIAM G. ANDREWS, Ph.D., taught political science to college students for forty-one years before retiring to a life in civic affairs. He has been deputy mayor of his village and has served on its Historic Preservation Board for twenty-six years. He is also the official village historian. This is his eighth book on Brockport history. He is a widower with six children and thirteen grandchildren.
