Waldo Steyn started his career on the mines in South-Africa. He worked both on surface and underground as a Winding Engine Engineer. One day in June 1999, while working underground he noticed that a stalactite was forming in a tunnel that led to his work-place. The stalactite was something, he could not explain. Waldo knew that stalactites took millions of years to form. So it made no sense to him; that a stalactite was growing in a 50 year old gold mine. The thought occurred to him that somebody had their facts wrong about the rate of stalactite growth. But as things go on the mines, Waldo soon forgot about the mystery of the stalactite. In 2012, Waldo reached the crossroads in his life. He was on the verge of divorce. He had lost everything. The age-old question "Who am I, why am I here?" went through his thoughts. You see God had no place in Waldo's life in those days. He was an atheist. He strongly believed in evolution. His wife Marie, on the other hand was a Christian. That same year Waldo found Jesus. He was baptised in the "Assembly of God-church" in Rustenburg. Everything turned out better afterwards. He and his wife were reconciled. They are still happily married today, with two children -one son and a daughter, who is married herself. Waldo and Marie are now grandparents of three grandchildren. As you can think, his view in life changed. Remembering the stalactite he had once witnessed growing in the mine-tunnel, Waldo started to do research on the growth-rate of stalactites and stalactites. He found evidence that the rate of stalactite and stalactite growth was much faster than the millions of years science made it to be. He started to do intensive research on the Creation/Evolution debate and can be seen as an expert on the subject. He is also an evangelist, with his own ministry called "God's Farm Ministries."
