Viola Shafik is a filmmaker, curator and film scholar. She is the author of several books on Arab cinema and has taught at the American University in Cairo, Egypt, Z�rich University, Switzerland, Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany and Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich, Germany.
