Dr. Dolar is an economist whose life journey has been as diverse and enriching as her research interests. Hailing from Slovenia, she has traversed the globe, leaving her mark on various international communities. Her insatiable curiosity and thirst for knowledge led her to cross borders and immerse herself in different cultures, nurturing a unique perspective that shines through her work. From her early years at the United World College of the Adriatic in Italy, where she earned her international baccalaureate (IB diploma), to her stellar academic achievements at the University of Western Ontario in Canada and her Ph.D. from the prestigious University of Minnesota, Dr. Dolar's academic journey has been nothing short of remarkable. Today, she calls the State University of New York (SUNY) at Old Westbury her academic home, where she imparts her knowledge and passion for economics to bright minds. Teaching an impressive array of courses ranging from Introductory Micro- and Macro-economics to Health Economics, Labor Economics, Public Economics and even a captivating course in Food and Wine Economics, she leaves a lasting impact on her students, inspiring them to explore the depths of economics and its real-world applications.
