Veronica Sherborne (1922-1990) was a legend in her own lifetime. She originally trained as a physical education teacher and physiotherapist. She was profoundly influenced by the work of Rudolf Laban whom she met whilst a student at the Bedford College of Education. After studying with Laban she spent more than thirty years developing her own approach not only with children with physical and emotional difficulties, but also with their parents, teachers and therapists. Her work was respected both nationally and internationally and she was invited to present her work in the UK, Canada, Norway, Poland and Australia. She also made six educational films illustrating her ways of working. Practitioners are now trained in her approach, referred to as the 'Sherborne Developmental Movement', through Sherborne Association branches throughout the world. See less
