Trait Thompson knows Oklahoma's capitol like few others. As member and chairman of the Oklahoma State Capitol Preservation Commission from 2012 to 2015, he became a passionate advocate for the building's restoration. From 2014 to 2020, he served as the state's project manager on the capitol restoration project. He currently serves as the executive director of the Oklahoma Historical Society.
