Thomas Rowe Drinkard was born and reared in the tiny town of Falkville, Alabama. He graduated from Falkville High School and from Florence State University, now called The University of North Alabama. Within a week of graduation, Thomas entered the U.S. Army. Thomas Rowe Drinkard was born and reared in the tiny town of Falkville, Alabama. He graduated from Falkville High School and from Florence State University, now called The University of North Alabama. Within a week of graduation, Thomas entered the U.S. Army. Within three years, he had graduated from Airborne School and Special Forces School. He served ten years with the Green Berets, including a tour of duty in Vietnam with the fabled MACV-SOG organization. After his active duty Army days, Thomas became a teacher and writer in the securities exam test preparation industry. He taught classes all over the United States. He also wrote articles and textbooks for exam preparation. He lives on the banks of a lake in North Alabama with his wife, Marjorie Hatfield Drinkard See less
