Theodore W. Schultz

Theodore W. Schultz (1979) was the Charles Hutchinson Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus in Economics at the University of Chicago and the 1979 Nobel Laureate in Economics. His work was often focused on the area of development economics and the economics of agriculture. Schultz authored and edited many books in his lifetime, including Investment in Human Capital , Origins of Increasing Returns , and The Economics of Being Poor.
