Terence K Hopkins

Terence K. Hopkins (1929-1997), one of the founding fathers of world-systems analysis, came to Binghamton in 1970 in order to found its program of graduate studies in sociology, and he remained its Director for two decades. Hopkins completed his doctoral studies at Columbia University in 1959 and joined the Columbia faculty in 1958 and remained there until 1970.
