Dr. Ted T. Cable is an award-winning professor and assistant department head of Park Management and conservation at Kansas State University. Dr. Ted T. Cable is an award-winning professor and assistant department head of Park Management and conservation at Kansas State University. He has authored 11 books, several book chapters and scenic byway video scripts, and more than 200 articles, reports, and presentations dealing with heritage interpretation, human - nature interactions, avian ecology, and ecotourism. Dr. Cable has worked extensively in West Africa, Europe and Latin America. He has received teaching awards from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the Kansas Wildlife Federation as well as several teaching, student advising, and faculty mentoring awards from Kansas State University. In 2005, he received the William C. Everhart Award as part of Clemson University's George B. Hartzog Environmental Awards Program as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of Missouri Interpreters. In 1996, he received the National Association for Interpretation's Master of Interpretation award and in 2000 he was named a Fellow of the National Association for Interpretation. See less
